Retail Express architects and develops its own software, primarily using Microsoft technologies, and has been doing so since 2003. One of the primary reasons for the rapid market acceptance of Retail Express is due to the 'customer centric' design approach of all software development.
Retail Express was originally designed in conjunction with a real business, not in a software laboratory. It began when an Australian retail and distribution company wanted to leverage the Internet and streamline their business operations with a practical software solution.
It had to allow customers to transact using their preferred method, whether over the web, over the phone, or over the counter (in-store). This concept is now being rapidly adopted around the world, known as multi-channel retailing. Above all, it had to allow the owner 24/7 access to view and manage the business operations from anywhere.
The result, many years in the making, is an easy to use retail solution that conducts all the sophisticated tasks of retail operations in a very practical manner. Retail Express was commercialised and has since helped hundreds of retailers to grow their businesses.
