Aaron Blackman – Founder & Managing Director

Aaron is the founder and Managing Director of Retail Express, and is actively involved in the companies R&D and driving business growth.

Prior to Retail Express, Aaron spent a decade working in management & marketing roles (within the Retail Sector) for Digital Equipment Corporation, Hewlett-Packard and Toshiba.

Later, Aaron owned and operated his own small chain of IT retail stores, where he intimately experienced the operational challenges faced by multi-store retailers, along with the lack of effective retail systems.

During this time he developed a vision for creating simplified software that would operate all store operations on a single and central database (within the cloud) with a clear focus on streamlining retail operations. In 2006, Retail Express was born...

Bernie Green – Sales Director

Bernie has been a high achiever and instrumental in growing software companies in the UK, USA and Australia for the past 16 years. In previous roles, Bernie has led teams such as Parasoft Corporate, USA, where he helped expand the sales charter internationally and grow the company ten-fold.

At Retail Express Bernie is passionate about helping retailers to grow their business and improve their retail operations.

Stephen Mumford – Business Development Director

Stephen has been pivotal in the growth of Retail Express and takes a highly consultative approach to his retail clients.

With a particular focus and expertise in the Fashion vertical, Stephen enjoys an innate ability to understand his client's challenges and provide highly beneficial business solutions.

Stephen has 11 years of software experience in the UK and Australia and has previously held roles with software companies Synstar International, Frontrange Solutions, and Recruit Advantage.

Martin Blackman – Operations Director

Having enjoyed an extensive career in both retail and government sectors, Martin joined the company in 2010 and is tasked with the overall responsibility of company operations and quality assurance.

Martin is passionate about business systems efficiencies and brings a wealth of experience to Retail Express. Previously, Martin lead a large ITC Help Desk team within the Defence Force, where he was responsible for operations and services delivery to senior government stakeholders within National Defence.

Mike Ansell – Client Services Director

Mike heads up the Project Management and Clients Services team with commendable professionalism. He is responsible for all new client implementations and client services delivery.

With a blue-chip background, Mike has previously worked with major retailers, most recently Woolworths where he was the project technical lead on their latest POS technology deployment.

Mike Doodson – Non-Executive Director

Mike has more than 20 year's management experience in large and small multinational high tech companies. Mike has been instrumental in leading these companies through start-up, turnaround and high growth modes.

Mike has held Directorship roles for several software companies including, Link HR Systems where he was instrumental in driving seven-fold sales growth and secured multiple major wins in both the Public and Private Sector. He worked directly with the Chief Executive to plan and execute a successful trade sale to Northgate Info Systems.

Previous to this Mike worked for Nortel Networks for over 10 years in a number of Sales and Sales Management roles where he was responsible for generating annual Hardware, Software and Services sales in excess of $100M from new and existing clients in the UK Telecoms' sector.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Surrey.
